The pathway course is a unique opportunity to discuss in confidence the major challenges facing you in ill health and be given the practical and emotional tools for your own pathway back to health.

THE PATHWAY EXPERIENCE

At the first session you will, with your pathway guide identify the major challenges you are facing and establish your short and long term goals to return to health.
You will then receive your personalized booklet detailing the following:

  • A health pathway diagram for you to complete as the course
  • progresses so we can ensure you are moving towards your goals
  • A Course booklet with your own personal programme to make the steps along your pathway to health. Your booklet will provide you with
  • Relaxation, visualisation exercises and energy techniques.
  • Suggestions for physical exercise
  • Nutrition guide and immune system building programme

As you work through the course with your guide, you will together work out the most appropriate strategies to design your long term programme.

THE SESSIONS

The telephone or personal sessions you have with your Pathway guide will focus around the six challenges to health:

  • Trauma  - coping with the impact and trauma of the diagnosis
  • Goal setting – setting short term goals for successful  treatments and long term goals for the return to health
  • Treatment  -  how to achieve positive treatment  experiences by lessening side effects and making treatment decision based on your needs
  • Relationships – family and friend dynamics; building a positive support team. Relationships with your medical team; strategies for empowerment
  • Self esteem  - focus on you; the impact, adapting and tools for successful recovery
  • Immune system building – a personal strategy of nutrition, exercise, and  lifestyle elements for the pathway to long term health

These challenges are a useful framework, but we shall adapt each session to the unique needs of each individual. As we work together to identify the challenges we shall adapt the content and tools to best meet your needs.
