Paul McCartney and his daughters are leading a campaign to encourage everyone to have one meat free day a week.

This, they say, is not a bid to turn everyone vegetarian one day at a time, but instead to slow climate change. A UN report claims livestock are responsible for 18 percent of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions, which is a bigger share than that of transport which accounts for 13 per cent.

If everyone reduced their intake of meat slightly it would make a huge impact upon the greenhouse gases. Many celebs and restaurants are backing the cause . For a great video of Paul talking about Meat Free Monday click here.
