Natural Beauty Yearbook 2010 announces the Top 20

The Natural Beauty Yearbook 2010, the UK’s only dedicated trade publication for the natural and organic beauty industry, launched to great acclaim last week at the Neal’s Yard Remedies store on London’s King’s Road.

Now in its third year, and packed full with topical features and insightful interviews, as well as an indispensable beauty buyer's guide, the Natural Beauty Yearbook 2010, published by Diversified UK, received a round of industry applause from retailers, beauty journalists and manufacturers alike.

But each year one of the most anticipated features of the Yearbook is the coveted Top 20, and guests waited with bated breath for the great unveiling. Addressing guests, Natural Beauty Yearbook editor, Julia Brandon, said: “The Top 20 is a fantastic celebration and recognition of all those personalities and businesses that have pushed to the fore this year by helping to make natural beauty the success it now is.”

The 2010 Top 20…
1) In at number one for the second year in a row as joint winners are beauty journalists and co-authors of The Green Beauty Bible, Josephine Fairley and Sarah Stacey. Fairley commented: “My congratulations go to the publishers of the Yearbook, which I personally find incredibly useful as a resource myself, and Sarah and I are honoured to be included again.”

“We’re delighted to see so many wonderful new natural brands taking off, and that green really is glam,” added Stacey.

2) Moving up two spaces on last year to second place are Simon Duffy and Rhodri Ferrier, co-founders of male natural grooming brand, Bulldog. Appealing in its packaging, marketing and product results, 2010 should see continued fast pace growth for this brand. “Rhodri and I were absolutely thrilled to have made it to second place in the top 20. It's a great testament to the hard work of all the team at Bulldog and we're hopeful that 2010 will be a brilliant year,” says Duffy.
