Weight loss is so intrinsically linked to emotions

Easy for me to say...I’m lucky enough to be up a mountain in Turkey ! , Its Jason Vales juice detox retreat and I fully intend to lose a few pounds in weight.   Much more importantly though I want to remind myself of some of the stuff I already know about health and vitality.
I am imperfect remember – you know the title of my first book was ‘imperfectly natural woman’ and even though I know nutrition through and through, I’m aware of food addictions et al but I still do that ‘self sabotage’ thing and I bet some you do also.
We’ve probably all got friends who are overweight yet don’t seem to eat much (unless they’re doing it undercover of course!) but sometimes people carry extra weight as a ‘barrier’.    I heard the wondrous Marianne Williamson interviewed as part of the WISH summit and she said for many years when she over-ate, she was subconsciously manifesting a wall of flesh – to hide behind !   Every brick contains a damaging thought.   I attended a family constellations workshop recently (more to come on that fascinating subject) and one beautiful woman, voluptuous would be the word just about anyone would use to describe her, was very concerned about her weight, she had terrible body image and a bad relationship with food, either binging, or dieting or over-eating.  The ‘constellation’ with the help of the psychologist revealed that her mother and grandparents had been part of a famine in Italy and had literally been starving.  On a subconscious level perhaps this beautiful ‘plumptious’ lady was eating on behalf of her relatives, but she was shown that they and she has abundance now and there.s nothing to fear.
Have a look at www.acourseinweightloss.com and read Mariannes excellent book.
For now I’m off to enjoy another green juice and remind myself that its bonkers to keep saying I ‘need’ a coffee or chocolate, when clearly all I ‘need’ is that health giving smoothie, maybe I think I ‘want’ it but how mad is it to constantly go on about wanting something you know you don’t really want !!!
